Shipping

Where does Spruce ship?

We currently ship everywhere in the US, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as Canada and over 200 countries around the world. If your country isn't available at checkout, tweet us (@SpruceShades) or send us an email and let us know what country you’d like us to have on our radar.

 

How much does shipping cost?

USPS Priority Mail (1-3 business days) to the continental US is $3.50. Shipments to Alaska or Hawaii are the same price but may take longer to arrive.

Please allow one full business day for us to process your order before shipping.

 

What about international shipping?

We offer flat rate international shipping to Canada and the rest of the world. The below rates include all duties and taxes, and delivery times are estimates:

Canada: $10 (3-5 business days)
Rest of the world: $20 (Arrival time depends on country. Generally within 14 days)

 

Orders & Returns

When exactly will I receive my order?

Here’s how it works: You place an order online, then we process it. Your package will ship out from our office in Los Angeles within 1 business day. From then on, it should take 1-3 business days (for the continental U.S.) depending on where you live.

Our team takes a much deserved vacation on weekends and national holidays, so orders placed on those days will be shipped the following business day.

 

What's this I hear about your super easy return policy? Can I return my shades if I just don't like how they look on me?

Yes! We want everyone to make sure they really love their shades before they decide to keep them, so we offer 14 day at home try-on. It works like this: After you receive your shades, you have 14 days to wear them, ask your friends, look at yourself in the mirror, Instagram them, whatever. If at any point in the first 14 days you decide they're just not for you, return them for a full refund—all we ask is that they are in the same condition in which you received them (aka still sellable). Just click the Easy Product Returns button at the bottom of our page, and we’ll send you a free shipping label. Return shipping is always on us!

Is there a warranty? 

Yes! Spruce Shades are guaranteed against manufacturer defects for 6 months from the date of purchase. Please note that this does not include wear and tear such as scratches, accidental damage, or issues that arise from exposure to moisture.

 

Product Questions

How do I take care of my shades?

It's easy! Just don't sit on them, step on them, or otherwise crush them, and keep them stored inside the included bamboo case and microfiber pouch. It's also a good idea to keep them away from super humid/moist environments for extended periods of time. Real wood and moisture are not the best of buddies.

To clean them, just use a dry, lint free microfiber cloth, such as the pouch we included with your shades. If you want something even better, we recommend this.

 

Can you tell me more about how Spruce Shades are made?

That’s one of our favorite subjects! It was really important to us to team up with manufacturing partners who hold themselves to the same ethical standards we do. After researching and sampling dozens of suppliers, we ultimately decided on a manufacturer in China who impressed us the most with their exemplary workplace, quality of product, and commitment to sustainability. We count ourselves lucky to be working with such a thoughtful partner.

 

Do you make Spruce Shades with prescription lenses?

We don't currently offer shades with prescription lenses built in, however you can still buy a pair of shades normally, then send them out to a company like LensesRx, who can replace our lenses with their custom made prescription lenses.
